Why use specific products at night?

It is at night that the skin best absorbs the active ingredients, so it is very important to take advantage of this sleeping time to apply active skincare products. The DermEden Laboratories have created within the Night Protocole range, skin care products with a high concentration of powerful active ingredients.

For sensitive skin and if this cream is too active, what is the solution?

Hydroxy Acids are, as their name indicates, acidic, whereas the pH of the skin at 5.5 is only slightly acidic. Some skins are sensitive to the fruit acids contained in Night Protocole Eye Contour, especially as the formula is acidic (low pH). It is best to perform a sensitization test on a small area of skin (in the crease of the elbow for example) beforehand. We can recommend to the consumer to apply the Eye Contour every alternate evening so that the skin gets progressively used to the product.

Are Hydroxy Acids irritating to the eyes?

HA are, as their name indicates, acidic while the lacrimal pH is basic (about 8). Any acidic product will therefore be prone to stinging. Like any eye contour, it must however be applied strictly to the bony part of the eye contour and must not be in direct contact with the mucous membrane.

Is it possible to expose oneself to the sun by having applied the Night Eye Contour Night Protocol the night before?

It is recommended to use a sunscreen during the day because the active ingredients in it sensitize the skin, which will react more to UV rays.
